Meeting Objectives

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), U.S. Department of the Interior, the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works (OASACW), and other U.S. federal agencies along with support from the U.S. Water Partnership (USWP) and the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) will co-host an invitation-only event convening experts from U.S. federal agencies, major companies, civil society, and universities in Washington, D.C. on July 12 – 14, 2016 to: 

  • Identify key steps and best practices to deliver more robust and integrated water-related data, information and prediction services to help communities and businesses manage risk, build resilience, and plan for the future; and
  • Explore potential public-private partnerships to catalyze solutions and “actionable information” that address U.S. and international water data and information challenges.

Selected thought leaders and experts will frame discussions of key information trends, followed by interaction with participants for collaborative problem-solving.
